Referrers

A calm provision you can refer into.

If you're looking for a safe, structured, outcome-friendly option for people who aren't in crisis but aren't coping brilliantly either, Reel Impact Angling may fit. We work with schools, local authorities, NHS services and community organisations, and we're part of the Mid Essex Neighbourhood Team.

What it is

A calm, coach-led outdoor wellbeing programme using carp angling to support emotional regulation, confidence and connection. It's early intervention support — not therapy.

What it looks like

Small groups, clear session flow, predictable routine, beginner-friendly coaching, and a non-intimidating environment. We keep language plain and pressure low.

Who it helps

People aged 8+ — including young people (often neurodivergent/SEND), adults under pressure, and those who struggle in traditional settings. Especially those who benefit from calm, hands-on learning.

How to work with us

You can refer individuals, commission a block of sessions, sponsor places, or partner on funded delivery. We'll make the process straightforward.

What to include in an enquiry
  • • Who it's for (age / group)
  • • What's going on (in plain terms)
  • • What you're hoping will improve
  • • Any safeguarding / risk considerations
  • • Timescales and funding route (if known)
