Strong Beneath the Surface is not a drop-in activity. It is not a hobby session. It is not a generic wellbeing class.
It is a defined, structured 6-week intervention programme with consistent sessions, tracked outcomes, and a clear start and end point — delivered in a calm, safe outdoor environment using angling as the therapeutic vehicle.
Every block is delivered by a Level 2 Angling Trust coach who is Enhanced DBS checked, Level 2 Safeguarding certified, and Youth Mental Health First Aid qualified.

How it works
Self-funded places are available.
Self-funded places are available for families and individuals who are funding their own place on the programme. This includes children and young people who do not hold an EHCP but would benefit from structured early intervention support.
Self-funded participants access the same structured 6-week Strong Beneath the Surface programme, delivered by a Level 2 Angling Trust coach to the same standard as all commissioned delivery.
We do not offer taster sessions.
Every place is a committed booking confirmed upon payment.
Sessions cancelled by the client are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
